Ashton Park, West Kirby, 10th July 2016
Although the third band in Ashton Park's summer program we were the first to actually get to perform, both the others having been rained off. So, for a change, we brought the sunshine and, in spite of having to compete with the Wimbledon men's final and football, we had a good audience.
The performance went down well and we enjoyed ourselves, so, all in all, it was a very pleasant afternoon.
Pre Performance Instruction
Whilst most of the band are hanging on our conductor's words one section doesn't seem to be paying attention.
Cornets try to remember the complex musical landscape of repeats, Dal Segno, Da Capo, Coda and Fine that have never gone right in rehearsals.
A Brief Respite
The band listen with what looks like complete indifference to their conductor's witty anecdotes.
