The Launch of the New Band

The launch of our new band name took place at   Trinity Methodist Church.  on 31st October - Halloween! In spite of the date and the possible conflict of interests in people's diaries the concert was supported by the local council by Ellesmere Port's deputy mayor councillor Brian Jones and a near capacity audience.  The band played  well with everyone concentrating hard  with a selection of style of music we like - Jan Van Kraeydonck's arrangement of Beatles' songs,  Frank Benraerts' arrangement of songs such as Mac The Knife and Have You Met Mrs Jones plus transcriptions by our own conductor of I Dreamed a Dream and Ferry Cross the Mersey.  You can see other images from the concert by cvlicking on the Gallery button above.

Below are some images from the concert taken by Tony Warden the husband of our second Euphonium player Jenny without whom we wouldn't have had any record of this event.

Old age is a terrible thing. No one told the Euphonium player that the concert had finished.
